Mailbox Landing

On our most recent trip to the Creek we loaded up and headed out on the water on a picture taking adventure. Our first stop was at what is called, Mailbox Landing. This is the place where families (including Paul's Granddad) would cross the creek to check their mail. Now it is just a beautiful little place along the creek bank that is tunneled by the trees. After stopping there we headed out to see what critters we could find. Of course we saw the usuals...Al (alligator), HUGE Banana Spiders, and butterflies, but this time we also saw Mr. Owl. We've been seeing him off and on for the past couple of years near where we camp, but we had never seen him out on the creek. Luckily we had the cameras ready when he flew right in front of the boat and landed on a tree on the bank. Here's some of what we saw...
